Rafael Garcia - Founder & Piano Instructor
Hey, I’m Rafael G.! I’ve been playing in church for almost 10 years, and my primary instrument is piano/keyboard. I also serve as a Music Director (MD) every Sunday, leading musicians and creating seamless worship experiences.
I know what it’s like to want to play worship music but not know where to start. That’s why I created Worship Academy—to give musicians a clear path to learning, growing, and serving with confidence. Whether you're just starting or refining your skills, we’re here to help every step of the way.
Fun Fact: I’ve actually been playing guitar longer than piano, but piano is still my favorite by far!
Rafael Berrones - Guitar Instructor
Hey, I’m Rafael B.! I’ve been playing guitar for 16 years, always focused on worship music. Just a year into playing, I felt confident enough to start serving at my church, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of playing and leading in various worship settings—helping new musicians grow into confident players.
I know learning guitar can feel awkward at first—your fingers hurt, the chords seem complicated, and the fretboard looks overwhelming. But with the right guidance and technique, you’ll get past those early struggles and start playing with confidence.
My passion is equipping musicians with the skills they need to serve their church, providing a clear path to mastering essential guitar techniques.
Fun Fact: My guitar was my best friend all throughout high school. But now, I have real friends!
